We think these five fantastic rides represent everything we’re able to do here in our shop. Join us as we show off a few recent restorations to move through and highlight the Karl Kustoms touch!
1951 Ford Crestliner
This classic cruiser went through restoration back in 2001, and that two-tone root beer brown paint continues to look fantastic! Aside from the incredibly straight and smooth bodywork highlighted in this video, the interior dash and cloth bench seats keep that classic feel flowing! Inside, you’ll find those smaller Karl Kustom touches like the three aftermarket gauges tucked under the dashboard to keep this classic looking fresh!
1959 Corvette Frame Swap
Going from classic originality to more of a resto-mod look is this black over red 1959 Corvette. In 1955 Chevrolet introduced the V8 engine into the Corvette, and from there, it became the American legend we know today. The Kustom touches here are a bit more noticeable, from the Dakota digital dashboard to the monstrous LS 525 under the hood.
1947 Mercury Convertible
Highlighting another modern powertrain with a classic look is this 1947 Mercury Convertible. You’ll quickly notice the disc brakes with slotted rotors, the American Racing wheels, and the big LS under the hood. Modern power in a classic convertible? What could be better?
1928 Ford Model A Convertible Truck
Getting even deeper into history is this 1928 Model A Convertible Truck! This unique ride still uses the original Ford controls, which look foreign to many drivers today. You’ll also note a few Karl Kustoms touches, like the steering wheel knob and the chromed front and rear bumpers. You’ll notice the wooden liner in the bed, as was the standard in the 20s! Hang around, and you’ll even catch the L-head Inline four idling for its next ride.
2017 Ram 1500
Getting back into the 21st century is this 2017 Ram 1500; this modern cruiser came in for the Karl Kustoms touch. Some of these modifications include the 2.5inch lift kit, Moto wheels, bed cover, side steps, and that imposing front grille. Just highlighting all the fantastic work we can do here at Karl Kustoms.
