Got an older GM truck with a tired Small-Block? Forget the rebuild and take your truck’s capability to the next level with the Chevrolet Performance HT383 crate engine. The extra displacement and unique parts are designed to build a wide, flat torque curve that maintains at least 400 lb.-ft. between 2,500 and 4,000 rpm. That’s power you simply won’t get with a stock-type rebuild.
Built Chevy tough, this motor starts with a cast-iron block with four-bolt main caps, GM then fills the block with a forged steel crankshaft and a hydraulic roller camshaft. Top it off with iron Vortec heads for a 9.1:1 compression ratio that is perfect for regular gasoline at all altitudes and engine loads.
The 4L70-E four-speed automatic overdrive transmission backs the HT383 with strength and durability. Put this combo to work in your classic cruiser and enjoy a great balance of performance and efficiency!
