NOTE: All components, engine, transmission, controllers and installation kits (where applicable) are ordered and delivered separately.
Additionally, all engines require a front-end accessory drive system. The instructions included with each kit lists recommendations and Chevrolet Performance offers several configurations to suit different applications that also allows the installer to easily delete air conditioning.

A Modern Version of the L88 with Six-Speed Fun!
The L88 427 was the ultimate expression of Chevy’s Big-Block power back in the day, combining a rigid iron cylinder block with lightweight aluminum cylinder heads and a single four-barrel carburetor. Our engineers have recreated that raspy rat engine feel with the ZZ427/480, and they did it with updated components that enhance drivability ? and performance! The ZZ427 features the latest-generation block casting with four-bolt main caps, an all-forged rotating assembly, and a hydraulic roller camshaft for greater drivability and a broader performance range. It also features aluminum oval-port cylinder heads with 2.19/1.88-inch valves and a pump-gas-friendly 10.0:1 compression ratio. It all adds up to 480 hp at 5,800 rpm and 490 lb.-ft. at 3,800 rpm! It’s all backed by the T56 Super Magnum six-speed manual transmission for thrill of selecting your own gears and a double overdrive to make highway cruising a pleasure. These transmissions are rated to 700 lb.-ft. of torque and are brand new from the ground up. They use an extensively modified transmission case to prevent leaks under high-stress conditions and increase overall power-handling capabilities with stronger, high-capacity gear sets, input shaft and output shaft from the Tremec TR6060. Kit includes shifter handle and Chevrolet Performance-logo ball-type shift knob to complete your install.
