LQ9 Custom Engine
We have taken our base LQ9 long block engine part# 19370163 and added custom bright white paint job done at our in house body shop.
Then added our black LS Swap dual oil drain bung oil pan, black LS starter, black valley cover, black timing cover, black coolant crossover, black LS Swap motor mounts, and black oil dipstick with tube.
It also has a black Holley front drive part# HLY20-185BK along with a Holley Hi-Rise intake with rails, injectors, and 102mm TBI!
All parts have been all installed here at our machine shop and painted at our body shop
LS364/450HP Crate Engine
One of the most popular crate engines available today, the LS364/450 is the crate engine version of the 6.0L LQ9. However, unlike an original LQ9 (also known as the Vortec HO 6000 or the VortecMAX), the LS364/450 has several upgrades:
- Upgraded cylinder heads (Ls3 heads similar to these)
- High lift camshaft (LS6 cam like this one)
- Slightly higher compression ratio (10.3 vs. 10.1)
These improvements are the reason that the LS364/450 makes substantially more power than the LQ9.
- LS364/450 – 452 hp @ 5,600 RPM, 441 lb-ft @4,800 RPM
- LQ9 – 345hp @ 5,200 RPM, 380 lb-ft @ 4,000 RPM
Yet just like the original LQ9, the LS364/450 is a strong motor that’s built to run. And it’s also one of the most affordable Chevrolet Performance crate engines available, especially on a dollar per horsepower basis.
