A Corvette Video Showcase From Karl’s

At Karl Kustoms, we live and breathe Corvettes. We’ve worked on a wide variety of Corvettes over the years.

Check out this video collection of some of our favorite Corvette projects – and get to know the owners we’re privileged to call our customers.

1. 2014 Corvette C7 Stingray

The owner of this beaut asked us to give it as much power as possible. So we did! We loaded this Corvette up with:

  • A Karl Kustoms 417 cubic inch engine
  • Edelbrock E Force Supercharger
  • Forged rotating assembly
  • ATI balancer
  • LT4 fuel system
  • Lingenfelter GT35 camshaft
  • Lingenfelter dual valve springs
  • Titanium retainers and 10 degree locks
  • Smith Brothers Trunnion upgrade
  • High performance lifters
  • C5R timing chain
  • Ported cylinder heads
  • Custom calibration

After we finished building and installing this engine, we put it on the chassis dyno. We were pumped to see that this Corvette produces nearly 700 hp and 642 ft lbs of torque!

2. 1977 Corvette

Can you believe that this 1977 Corvette has only 12K miles on it? Even though this Corvette has barely been driven, it still needed to be restored to its original glory. After we were finished with it, it looked like it had just rolled off the assembly line back in 1977. We made sure that everything looked stock and is in pristine condition. Even the engine compartment looks brand new and spotless.

3. 1962 Corvette Convertible

We loved working on this classic Corvette. When we were finished with it, it looked just like the way it did over half a century ago. This masterpiece will turn heads with its:

  • Stunning red paint
  • Sparkling new headlights and wheels
  • Immaculate interior with all the original parts
  • Engine compartment so sparkling clean it could blind you

4. Corvette C7 Stingray Custom Project

We don’t only restore classic Corvettes to their original glory. We also do custom projects! The owner of this Corvette C7 asked us to customize it from head to toe. Our painter Ed Birmingham worked on the paint. He gave this Corvette:

  • Custom painted striping
  • Custom lettering
  • Hand painted tire striping

This one-of-a-kind Corvette doesn’t only look great. It also produces an incredible amount of power. We tuned the engine to put out 597 HP and 582 ft lbs of torque. We installed the following modifications:

  • Edelbrock Supercharger
  • Long tube headers
  • Lingenfelter LT1 cylinder heads
  • Lingenfelter dual valve springs
  • GT35 camshaft
  • COMP cam lifters
  • 3/8 hardened push rods
  • Forged pistons
  • Engine reprogramming

5. Dan’s 1979 Corvette

This 1979 Corvette is a very unique one. It stays true to its original design while sporting all the modern amenities of a brand new Corvette. Dan, the owner of this Corvette, brought it to us with one request: “modernize” the car. So we did. Here are some of the things we did:

  • Cleaned the grimy undercarriage
  • Beefed up the motor to give it more power
  • Upgraded the suspension system
  • Installed a new brake system in the back
  • Replaced the wheels
  • Replaced the exhaust system

This post has more details about the project.
