This LS3 powertrain system brings Corvette and Camaro power direct to your project build! The LS3 is the power behind the C6 Corvette and 5th generation Camaro SS. It offers the lightweight advantage of an aluminum cylinder block, aluminum heads and a composite intake manifold – all an advantage over the heavy cast iron engines used in early cars. Reductions in frontal weight are beneficial to the overall balance and performance of your specialty build, hot rod, or muscle car. This powertrain package includes the engine, automatic transmission, electronic controllers and all the necessary wire harnesses – all for less than the cost of buying the components separately.

Inside, this LS3 is filled with components designed for high performance and longevity. A sturdy reciprocating assembly combines with L92-type rectangular-port heads to deliver a 10.7:1 compression ratio. A high-lift, hydraulic roller camshaft with 0.551-inch of lift on the 2.16-inch intake valves and 0.522-inch lift on the 1.59-inch exhaust valves, enhances the LS3’s tremendous airflow and broad torque curve. All combined you’ll see 430hp at 6,300 rpms.

Chevy’s engines and transmissions are matched for optimal performance and durability, so you can push for every possible bit of horsepower with total confidence. The specially calibrated controllers are designed for retrofit installations in older vehicles, for easier and quicker installation. This LS3 is backed by the 4L65-E four-speed overdrive automatic, which enables great highway cruising performance and fuel economy, while retaining good off-the-line performance with the steep first gear. It is tough as nails too, with the durability of hardened internal parts and five-pinion gear sets.

NOTE: All components, engine, transmission, controllers and installation kits are ordered and delivered separately.

Important Notes

For a complete installation, the builder will need to source additional components to complete the engine assembly and get the vehicle running, including:

• Fuel tank and fuel lines (re-circulating or returnless)
• Fuel pump – 58 psi (400 kPa) for all engines except LSA, which requires 65 psi (450 kPa)
• Air induction system that incorporates the mass airflow sensor

Additionally, all engines require a front-end accessory drive system. The instructions included with each kit lists recommendations and Chevrolet Performance offers several configurations to suit different applications. Each allows the installer to easily delete air conditioning. Note that exhaust manifolds are NOT INCLUDED.

The Connect & Cruise LS3 6.2L (430 hp) and 4L65E Crate Powertrain System is also available as an E-ROD system for those who need to retain emissions compliance.
